We at O'Brien Facilities have been carrying out salting services throughout the country since 2014. We are currently salting 10 sites at locations including Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Clare and Roscommon. We have an exemplary track record on salting. To date we have never received any complaints. The secret to us being successful in salting is due to us organising teams to carry out works in the early hours of the morning and not waiting until 7 or 8am to decide to salt, when it is too late. The decision is always made the evening before. Both our office and ground teams work together closely to achieve the correct decision on salting/snow clearance. It is an out of hours business and with that said it takes huge dedication to make sure salting happens when necessary
We provide full salting and, when necessary, snow clearance services for all commercial businesses.
We are available to visit sites outside of normal working hours to salt car parks, entrances, and footpaths.
Once a client subscribes to the salting/snow clearance service, if we deem the service necessary for their site (based on a daily MET OFFICE weather forecast report) the work is automatically scheduled to be completed
This provides our clients with complete peace of mind.
Whatever the weather!
O'Brien Facilities works off of an alarm system set up at our offices. This is a set time every day - 12pm. O'Brien Facilities is signed up to the Met Eireann Winter Maintenance text system where Met Eireann will send on sufficient information for each site. Based on the temperature status O'Brien Facilities will make the appropriate call based on severity of the weather. Contact will be made to site managers if required and in all cases site offices will be notified of the Plan of Action for the following morning and whether salting/snow clearance is required or not. O'Brien Facilities currently work to a trigger of 2 degrees and below for salting services
We can guarantee the following:
• We own the necessary equipment and salt stock for service consistency
• We ensure the client receives daily forecasts
• We will use weather data from the MET office
• We provide real-time data for job reporting and monitoring to increase transparency
• We provide high quality training for operators
• We ensure out of hours contact details for necessary staff on site if required
• We provide one point of contact for day-to- day contract management
